Distance Education

The Department of Engineering Professional Development  (DEPH) offers continuing education for engineering and technical professionals. Since 1949, DEPH has been improving professional engineering and related fields through its internationally-recognized continuing education program. 300 continuing education courses are offered in engineering, design, operations, production, maintenance, management, and planning.

University of Wisconsin Independent Learning (IL) is a great solution for busy, working professionals, undergraduates who need credits toward graduation, or potential students who don’t live near a UW campus. For over 100 years, IL has offered distance education courses. Undergraduate courses are taught by University of Wisconsin faculty and instructors at institutions accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
University of Milwaukee School of Continuing Education (SCE) offers public and onsite engineering-focused, high quality technical seminars. As one of the 14 schools that comprise UW-Milwaukee, SCE is the largest provider of noncredit continuing education in Southeastern Wisconsin. It now offers international programs in Egypt, Italy and Korea.
